This study was conducted to isolate the constituent, which had a preventive effect on D-galactosamine-induced rat liver injury, from the 70% ethanol-soluble fraction of Japanese green tea. Theanine (glutamic acid γ-ethylamide) was identified as the active compound, and the liver injury-preventive effect of theanine was dose-dependent. L-Glutamic acid γ-ethyl ester, but not glutamine, also brought about a significantly preventive effect on liver injury when added to the diet at equimolar levels to that of 1% theanine. The results indicate that theanine is one of the effective constituents of Japanese green tea in preventing D-galactosamine-induced liver injury. 相似文献

Extruded Jaya rice-legume (3:1 w/w) snacks equilibrated at different relative humidities (RH; 10–86%) exhibited similar typical sorption-isotherms and equilibrium moisture contents (EMC) up to 33% RH. Acceptable crispness was lost above 43% equilibrium relative humidity (ERH) and about 110N breaking strength. Photothermal catalysis has attracted great attention owing to high solar energy utilization efficiency, and great progress has been achieved in gas-phase catalysis. However, photothermal catalysis in liquid-phase shows a limited performance, due to high specific heat capacity of liquid. Herein, an interfacial photothermal catalytic (IPC) strategy applying an IPC leaf was designed for liquid-phase catalysis using benzyl alcohol oxidation as the model reaction. On even ground, the benzaldehyde generation rate (8.7 mmol gcat−1 h−1) of the IPC system with Ce-doped MnO2 as photothermal catalyst was almost 4.8 times and 3 times of bulk photothermal catalysis and the relative bulk thermal catalysis. Experimental results proved that this excellent catalytic performance could be attributed to both the high temperature achieved and the enhanced lattice oxygen activity by solar irradiation. This IPC system also exhibited good universality and long-term durability. Our work innovatively created a green strategy to obtain fine chemicals with only solar irradiation. 相似文献

Two‐dimensional, unsteady‐state mass transfer was studied for air drying of an anisotropic finite cylindrical body. A mathematical model was developed for predicting the temperature of the drying sample at any time and moisture in any position in the drying sample at any time. The anisotropic nature of the drying material was considered in the mathematical model by taking into account the different moisture diffusivities in the axial and radial directions. A cut fresh green bean was used as an anisotropic material and a pilot‐scaled dryer was set up to investigate the drying behavior of this foodstuff. Several length‐to‐diameter ratios of fresh green beans were considered and the mathematical model was validated by comparison of the predicted values of average moisture content with the experimental data. The model was used to predict the moisture distributions inside the drying samples. Different moisture content distributions in the axial and radial directions during drying confirms the anisotropic nature of cut green bean samples. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
